How it all began, and how we want it to continue
We got the idea after an inspiring visit to Egilbu, which has a fantastic location at Klokksegga, Urke, and then recently similar arrangements have been carried out in Midsund. From initiators at Midsund, we received good tips and advice on how we should go about realizing this at Sulafjellet.
"Hylla", the Hammoc park at Blaafjell is a collaborative project between Sula hunter- and the Fishermen's Association, and
Sula Vonløype. The idea came to us on Wednesday, and the following Friday the park was ready for visitors. It is both easy and fun when you gather with people full of commitment and ability to implement.
We want this initiative to be well received and that both young and old will find joy in this offer. In common with all the free offers that the associations arrange, we are dependent on all responsibility for keeping the area and the mountain otherwise tidy and nice. We ask everyone to familiarize themselves with the rules that apply to the area, and to follow them to the letter. This is absolutely necessary if we are to be able to continue organizing such activities.
A VIPPS has been created for the park, and we hope that the visitors will support us in our efforts to safeguard the existing offer. This will also give us the opportunity to establish such offers in several places in Sula.

VONLØYPA is a popular hiking trail on Sulafjellet. Work on the hiking trail began in 1995 and has been named after Vonhytta, which is located where the hiking trail ends. Annually, the Vonløypa board organizes the "VARDEN OPP" mountain race at the turn of May-June, and Sula-Santa "NISSEFEST" on the first Sunday in Advent. The Vonløypa has regular volunteer activity to maintain the hiking trail. Both the gravel surface, pipes and bridges need upgrading when the weather deteriorates.
The Vonløypa has many sponsors and contributors, and a big thank you to all donors.
If you want to be one of them, we will be very happy for small and large contributions to Vonløypa's account: 3910.55.97723.
Thank you very much in advance!
